Volunteering
– learning, sharing and helping others
Becoming a volunteer at DIAL will offer you the chance to be involved in every aspect of the work we do. You will be able to learn new skills as well as using your existing skills and experience to help other people in Barnsley.
We promise you we will:
Value the work that you do
Create a safe and inclusive environment
Celebrate your diversity
Help you achieve your personal goals
There are many different volunteering roles available to you and, whichever one you choose, you will be offered the training and support you need to make a real difference to the people you will be working with.
At DIAL we understand that our volunteers have many demands on their lives so we ask for only a half day a week commitment to your volunteering role. However, you can do more if you choose to.
Sound like this could be a new challenge for you?

“Volunteering at DIAL has given me back my confidence in a working and social environment without the pressure. Due to my ill health volunteering has enabled me to give back to this valuable service.
I have met some great people and I love the feeling that I can help to make a difference in someones life.”
Julie, Royston
